Robin Roefs Signs New Deal with Sunderland Until 2031
Robin Roefs has tied his future to Sunderland, signing a new deal that runs until 2031 – a statement of intent from both goalkeeper and club after a breakthrough season on Wearside.
The 21-year-old’s first campaign in England could hardly have gone better. Commanding, calm and relentlessly consistent, Roefs anchored a young Sunderland side that punched its way to seventh place and a Europa League spot, his presence behind them giving Tony Mowbray’s team the courage to play on the front foot.

Sporting director Florent Ghisolfi, speaking to the club’s official channels, made it clear this was about far more than just locking down a talented No 1. For him, Roefs embodies what Sunderland want to become.
