Gophers–Tommies Women's Basketball Showdown Rescheduled

The first in-season clash between the University of Minnesota and the University of St. Thomas women’s basketball teams will wait 24 hours longer than planned.

Originally slated for Dec. 1, the matchup has been moved to Dec. 2 and will still be played at Williams Arena — “The Barn” — presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota. Same building, same intrigue, new date.

For Gophers fans, the path to a seat is already laid out. Season tickets, which lock in access to all home games, are on sale through GopherSports.com. Those who commit early get the first crack at single-game seats.

The rollout is staggered. Season ticket holders can begin purchasing single-game tickets on Sept. 21 at 9 a.m. CT. Gopher Score members follow a day later, on Sept. 22 at 9 a.m. CT. The general public gets its window on Sept. 24, again at 9 a.m. CT.

Tipoff times remain under wraps. So do TV and streaming details, along with the full promotional schedule. Those pieces will drop later, but one thing is already clear: when Minnesota and St. Thomas finally meet at The Barn in early December, it will arrive with a little extra anticipation baked into the calendar.
