Sorba Thomas Escapes Unhurt After Car Overturns Near Hull Training Ground

Hull City winger Sorba Thomas escaped without injury after his car overturned near the club’s training ground on Friday morning.

The 27-year-old’s grey Land Rover Defender ended up on its roof on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham, close to the Tigers’ base. Images from the scene showed the vehicle with smashed windows and significant damage, underlining the force of the crash.

Thomas was able to walk away from the incident and did not require treatment, Hull City confirmed.

“The club is aware of images of Sorba's car circulating on social media and can reassure supporters that he has sustained no injuries and emerged from his vehicle completely unscathed,” Hull added.

In a statement, the club said it was “relieved” to learn the winger was unharmed. Thomas only joined Hull earlier this month from Championship side Stoke City, and the club moved quickly to reassure concerned supporters after photographs of the wrecked car began circulating online.

Humberside Police said emergency services remained at the scene on Friday as investigations continued, and urged the public to avoid the area while they worked.

For Hull, the priority is clear: a frightening morning, but their new signing is safe and ready to return to football.
