Serie A Transfer Window Analysis: Marks Out of 10 for Each Club

The transfer window in Italy did not so much close as slam shut, with a frantic final flurry that felt more like a last-minute scramble than a carefully curated market. Deals were rushed through, dossiers were dusted off, and more than one sporting director probably slept in the office. When the shutters finally came down, Serie A was left with a new cast, a few missing stars, and a long list of unanswered questions.

Judging that chaos is always a dangerous game. In the Calciomercato, certainty is a luxury nobody really has. A signing hailed as a coup in September can look like a costly mistake by Christmas; an unheralded youngster can quietly grow into the heartbeat of a team. Yet patterns still emerge. Some clubs moved with a clear plan, others looked like they were reacting to events, and a few seemed to be hoping that standing still would somehow count as progress.

That is the intrigue of this particular summer. Big names have traded shirts and cities, but the true impact of those moves will only be revealed when the season starts to bite. Will the headline arrivals carry the weight of expectation, or will they fade as quickly as the initial buzz?
